    Members of the 136th Security Forces Squadron, Texas Air National Guard, will compete in the 2018 Texas Military Department Best Warrior Competition from February 28 to March 4 at Camp Swift, Texas.
  • Supporting the mission, sending Christmas cheer

    Tis the season for giving, and what better than to give to those in need? To spread some holiday cheer, members of the 136th Airlift Wing supported Operation Christmas Child 2017. The program, sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, encouraged individuals to fill shoeboxes with toys, school supplies, and clothing to forward to children in war-torn countries across the globe. Collaboratively, the wing filled more than 75 boxes to send a message of hope and love to those in need for Christmas.

    Hurricane Harvey has been named the most hazardous land-falling tropical cyclone in the continental U.S. The hurricane dropped more than 51 inches of water in a 6-day period, causing an estimated $75 billion in damages. In support of critical efforts to aid victims of Hurricane Harvey, members of the 181st Airlift Squadron with the 136th Airlift Wing, Texas Air National Guard, have been working around the clock to provide personnel, equipment and air support for evacuees in southern Texas.
