Lights Out, Take Off!

Master Sgt. Mike Lyons, Volk Field Combat Readiness Training Center deputy airfield manager, places phantom lights along the flight line July 17, 2019, at Volk Field Air National Guard Base in Camp Douglas, Wis. Phantom lights enable military aircraft to take off in austere conditions or during power outage to an airfield.
