Before assuming his current duty, Chief Walden served as the 14th Commandant of the CMSgt Paul H. Lankford Enlisted Professional Military Education (EPME) Center.

Colonel Jeffrey D. Young is the Commander of the 254th Combat Communications Group (CCG), Texas Air National Guard, Hensley Field, Dallas, Texas. He directs the training, readiness and deployment of Airmen, deployable communications systems, and supporting equipment to enable combatant commanders, joint task forces and Air Force component headquarters during contingency operations. When directed by the Governor of Texas, his group protects the lives and property of the citizens of Texas by responding to homeland defense events and state emergencies. Colonel Young assumed this position in February 2015.
